HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 5 (ACN) The San Remo Music Awards Cuba 2022, an event whose aim is to promote the historical and cultural ties that unite Italy and Cuba as nations, will be opened today in Havana until April 10.
The opening will take place today at the Hotel Nacional, with a dinner concert where the artists who will pay tribute to the Cuban and Italian culture will be officially welcomed and the premiere of the documentary of the Moncada group about their performance at the Festival Di SanRemo Italia will be held.
There will also be performances by the National Symphony Orchestra String Quartet, the Septeto Habanero, Spanish artist Pilar Boyero and Cuban pianist Alejandro Falcon, as well as a concert by Gaston Joya and his group, made up of Rolando Luna, Yaroldi Abreu and Oliver Valdes.
As part of the event’s program, there will be an interpretation contest in which 16 young Cuban singers will compete during four galas, in addition to concerts on whose stage will gather national and foreign artists already confirmed to participate in the event.
There will also be a place for culinary art, fashion and business as a sample of the intertwining of the culture of the two protagonist nations of San Remo: Cuba and Italy.
This 1st edition of the San Remo Music Awards Cuba 2022 is organized by the Recording and Music Publishing Company (EGREM) and its artistic representation agency Musicuba, in close collaboration with the Cuban ministry of culture, the Cuban institute of music, and the diplomatic representations of Cuba and Italy, among others.
