HOLGUIN, Cuba, Dec 28 (ACN) Manuel Marrero Cruz, Cuban prime minister, visited on Monday popular councils in the municipality of Gibara, Holguin, where he assessed the revival system in the communities and the impact of the management of the representatives to the needs of their electors.
Marrero was concerned about the adequate treatment to prioritized families, people with social problems, and made emphasis on the constructive systems of the houses, roads, unemployment and lighting of public spaces, in a highly populated area, with approximately 2,000 inhabitants and about 746 houses, of which 50 are in bad condition.
The Cuban premier insisted on seeking alternative solutions to the problems, prioritizing, above all, housing with decent conditions for needy neighbors, as well as relocating the available resources and placing them within the reach of the people with total transparency.
He stressed that it is of vital importance to strengthen the government in the territory and involve the community in the solution of problems, supporting the residents in their daily life and offering a concrete answer to each one of their concerns.
During his tour Marrero Cruz was accompanied by Ernesto Santiesteban Velazquez, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province of Holguin and Julio Cesar Estupiñan Rodriguez, governor of this territory and political and governmental authorities of the municipality of Gibara.
