HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 2 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez wrote today on Twitter that 65 years after the landing of the Granma, the 82 revolutionaries that came on the yacht deserve honor and glory, as they reached Las Coloradas beach on December 2, 1956 with the intention of being “free or martyrs” and, he remarked, “they made us all free”.
In another communication, Díaz-Canel congratulated the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) on their 65th anniversary, describing its members as the first to actively participate in the fight against COVID-19 and in the effort to provide hospitals with oxygen supplies.
“They are always at the forefront of every fight for life,” he added.
Cuba commemorates on December 2 the 65th anniversary of the landing of the yacht Granma and the birth of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, made up of men and women who stand as an example of organization, discipline and efficiency.
