HAVANA, Cuba, May 3 (ACN) Despite the coercive measures imposed by the U.S. government, inconceivable for the better world we all want, Cuba is committed to the development of tourism, said Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country.
In a conversation with the press present at Jardines del Rey, where the 2024 International Tourism Fair is being held, the president valued the tourism industry as the driving force of the country’s economy, due to its contribution to the development of the Cuban business system.
Diaz-Canel thanked the support of international tourism chains, which have maintained their presence on the island in the face of constant external pressures.
