SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba, Mar 1 (ACN) The National Center of Applied Electromagnetism of the University of Oriente, in this eastern city, favors the operation of rehabilitation therapies with the local magnetic stimulator Nak, created to reduce pain and inflammations.
Antonio Garcia Leyva, director of technological development of the institution, informed the Cuban News Agency that by means of electric energy, the equipment creates a magnetic field and reaches the tissues of the affected area, where it reduces edemas and consolidates fractures.
He mentioned that the device has been tested at the Tamara Bunke maternity hospital in this city and the Provincial Center of Sports Medicine, with satisfactory results in the care of players of the baseball team of the territory.
