HAVANA, Cuba, May 10 (ACN) Personalities from different countries continue expressing their solidarity to Cuba on the occasion of the accident that occurred at the Saratoga Hotel, which has caused the death of 42 people.
According to the Cuban foreign ministry, from the Republic of Finland, its president, Sauli Niinistö, extended his heartfelt condolences to the people and government of the Republic of Cuba for the loss of human lives in the accident at the Saratoga Hotel.
Cyprus’ foreign minister, Ioannis Kasoulides, also sent his condolences to the government and people of Cuba after the tragic accident.
At the same time, the Timor-Leste foreign relations and cooperation minister, Adaljiza Magno, expressed her condolences for the aftermath of this tragedy, during a visit to the Cuban diplomatic mission in Dili, where she exchanged with the Chargé d’Affaires, Yudith Sanchez Espinosa.
During the morning of Friday, May 6, the Saratoga Hotel suffered the effects of a strong explosion when a tanker truck carrying liquefied gas served the facility, which also affected other adjacent buildings, resulting in one of the biggest tragedies to have occurred in the country.
