HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 10 (ACN) Cuba closed on Sunday its performance at the Grand Prix (GP) of Judo in Austria with a medal of each color, with a highlight for the champion Ivan Silva, in the 90 kilograms (kg), who placed fifth by nations, one of the 11 that won at least one title.
Brazil led the medal standings with three gold and one bronze, followed by Japan (2-1-2), the Netherlands (1-2-3), Germany (1-1-1), a trio that finished ahead of the Cubans (1-1-1), escorted by Spain (1-1-0), Italy (1-1-0), Serbia (1-0-1), Czech Republic (1-0-0), Puerto Rico (1-0-0) and Moldova (1-0-0), in that order.
Andy Granda (+100 kg) and Idalis Ortiz (+78 kg), winners of silver and bronze medals, respectively, also contributed to the overall position of Cuba.
