HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 8 (ACN) Cuban Women’s Federation (FMC by its Spanish acronym) will announce its new National Secretariat, as part of the 11th Congress of the organization that concludes today, in Havana.
On the closing day, the opinions of the four working commissions that met at the Havana Convention Center will be presented, which were focused on the economic empowerment of women, the preventive educational work of the FMC in the formation of values and community social work, and the attention to youth.
The more than 300 delegates from all over the country participating in the congress will approve the main report and the work projections for the next five years.
On Thursday, Teresa Amarelle Boue, secretary general of the FMC, expressed that the event constitutes the closing of a complex stage for the country in socioeconomic issues, where women have been a key pillar.
