Havana, Jan 25 (ACN) The music album Santiago-Brooklyn-Santiago, launched during the ongoing Havana Jazz Plaza Festival by the music labels EGREM and Zoho Music, works as a bridge to strengthen links of friendship between renowned pianists Marcos Fernandez, from Santiago and Arturo O’Farril, from New York.
Fernandez, from the Santiago Big Band and O’ Farril from the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra came together thanks to their passion for music in 2002, and they implemented the joint project of the mixed album last year.
Twelve Jazz popular tunes which reflect the music origins of both artists from Cuba and the United States. The selection includes “Almendra, by Abelardo Valdes; Bilongo, by Guillermo Rodrig
