HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 19 (ACN) Salvador Valdes Mesa, Cuban Vice President, held a meeting with Yoweri Museveni, president of Uganda, an African nation to which he traveled to participate at the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the 3rd South Summit, convened by the Group of 77 (G77) and China.
The Presidency informed on X that the Cuban representative conveyed to his host warm greetings on behalf of Army General Raul Castro Ruz and Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic.
In a friendly dialogue, Museveni recalled the footprints in the African continent of Fidel Castro, historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, and valued his contribution to the medical care of the population of his country and the training of health professionals.
