HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 10 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel recalled today the legacy of the young revolutionary Julio Antonio Mella and his last words, “I die for the Revolution!”, when he was about to be assassinated in Mexico on January 10, 1929.
“Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro referred to Mella as ‘the Cuban who most did in less time’,” Díaz-Canel remarked.
On their end, Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People’s Power, and Cuban VP Salvador Valdés Mesa, described Mella—founder of the Anti-Imperialist League of Cuba and co-founder of the country’s first Marxist-Leninist Par
