HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 5 (ACN) Cuban Ministry of Higher Education (MES by its Spanish acronym) celebrated today, on X, the 296th birthday of the University of Havana (UH).
The UH is 296 years old and has been contributing to the country’s development, said the MES in its congratulatory message to the university community, shared on the social network by Walter Baluja Garcia, Cuban Minister of Higher Education.
The ministry recalled that the UH is Cuba’s oldest higher education institution and that its walls preserve a large part of the country’s history.
