HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 18 (ACN) Cuba’s best athletes in 2023 will be announced today at the Ciudad Deportiva coliseum in Havana, where the performance of athletes with great results in these 12 months will be recognized.
Among the women, the most outstanding distinction will be disputed by judo player Idalys Ortiz, Yarisleidi Cirilo (canoeing), winner in 2022, freestyle wrestler Milaimy Marin and Leyanis Perez, in athletics.
Of these four, Cirilo seems to have the best chances, backed by her gold medal in the 200m C1 at the World Championship, in addition to winning the title in the same event at the 1st World Cup and at the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile.
