MATANZAS, Cuba, Dec 8 (ACN) On the basis of a National Design System that directs, manages and controls the activity of Industrial Design and Visual Communication, Cuba promotes a greater impact of this activity in the economic and social spheres.
Gisela Herrero, head of the National Design Office (ONDI by its Spanish acronym), explained that having a policy and a legal standard at present is the dream of many generations of designers in the Caribbean nation.
The visual communication designer also said that the policy, which has gone through several stages over time, is characterized by being inclusive and able to coordinate with all the country’s development purposes in any of the fields.
