HOLGUIN, Cuba, Oct 20 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the republic, checked the implementation of the Food Sovereignty Law in the municipality of Cacocum, as part of the government’s visit to Holguin.
This predominantly agricultural territory, located south of the provincial capital, requires about 1,000 tons of viands, vegetables, greens, grains, fruits and oilseeds for self-consumption, a figure that has not yet been reached with a considerable deficit in fiber.
The Cuban President emphasized the need to increase the supply of food at a good price and with quality, which at the same time are healthy, so it is necessary to focus productive plans on this purpose, enhancing self-sufficien
