Havana, May 9 (ACN) After three days of hard work at the rests of Havana Saratoga Hotel, destroyed by a blast early last Friday, rescuers continue to look of five missing persons in the piled up debris.
According to a daily government briefing led by the Cuban President there are 18 victims of the blast hospitalized, with six of them in critical conditions. Meanwhile, 40 persons died as a consequence of the accident.
As to infrastructure, 38 homes were affected with 22 households evacuated to state-run facilities. Some of the buildings affected by the explosion will be repaired while another will be demolished and a new building raised to relocate families.
