HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 5 (ACN) The International Agroindustrial Food Fair (Fiagrop), from today until Thursday, will host at the conference room of the fairgrounds of Rancho Boyeros, in Havana, a business round to present the portfolio of opportunities in the agri-food sector.
As part of the program, the country’s perspectives regarding foreign investment in Cuba and the results obtained by the Mariel Special Development Zone will be discussed, and particularly in the afternoon, there will be meetings with Fuego Enterprise, a U.S. company.
In the coming days there will be negotiations with TF Investment Caribe and Porcien SA, from Panama; with Maquinarias y Estructuras Agrícolas (” Machineries and Agricultural Structures”) SA, de CV from Mexico, and with other entities interested in the products of Cuban exhibitors.
Other activities to be held at the Racho Boyeros venue will be the cattle, sheep, goat and horse auctions starting on Wednesday, and the rodeo, one of the main attractions for the public, which will begin this Tuesday in the afternoon and from Friday on will have some performances in the evening.
The first edition of Fiagrop was held in 1996 and since then it was held uninterruptedly until the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, which prevented the development of the event for two consecutive years, until it was resumed at present.
