Havana, Dec 30 (ACN) Cuba’s Domestic Trade Ministry (MINCIN) announced the graduation on Thursday of 26 new international chefs as part of the local ARTECHEF program.
According to the Cuban Culinary Federation, the ARTECHEF course was postponed due to the impact by the COVID-19 pandemic and was later resumed after conditions allowed, so with the new graduation Cuba counts on over 323 international chefs, including 29 women.
The president of the Culinary Association Eddy Fernandez said the Cuban institution is the main contributor of professionals who help the good performance of the local hotel system.
The diplomas granted to the new Cuban international chefs were accredited before the MINCIN Center for Knowledge Management, so the graduates can validate their diplomas for any Cuban institution.
