Havana, Dec 7 (ACN) A new shipment with 50 food containers left Nicaragua for Cuba to support the island nation’s efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Cuban Friendship Institute, the humanitarian cargo left the Arlen Siu harbor onboard the Augusto Cesar Sandino boat with rice, beans and coffee.
The aid was donated by the Frente Sandinista de Liberacion government in support of the Cuban people, who have also been affected by the cruel and inhumane US measures which are part of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the island nation.
Other food shipments were sent by Nicaragua to Cuba in September and October in a gesture of friendship and solidarity.
