HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 12 (ACN) The Communist Youth League (UJC by its Spanish acronym) expressed its support for the Cuban revolution and ratified the will to comply with the constitutional mandate of the irrevocable nature of Socialism in Cuba.
Neither today, nor tomorrow, nor ever, minorities encouraged to disorder will take our streets; the streets of Cuba belong to the revolutionaries, warns a UJC statement published on its website after the destabilizing actions of counterrevolutionary groups that took place on Sunday in several parts of the country.
The text recalls that Cuba’s freedom was achieved on January 1st, 1959: We will never renounce that freedom, it states, and adds that there are thousands, multitudes, of indignant people who have responded with an unbreakable will that to die for the homeland is to live and do not believe in alternatives.
It emphasizes that a long time ago only one path was chosen and that it was Cespedes (the Father of the Homeland) who initiated the true path to freedom.
“Maceo educated us to never make pacts, Marti taught us to be free, Fidel and the generation of the Centenary made the achievement of the dignity of all Cubans a reality,” the UJC stressed.
This is our Moncada. This is how we have been educated, this is how we have educated, this is how we will have the responsibility to continue educating the new generations. We are all, united, responsible for fulfilling the constitutional mandate of the irrevocable nature of our Socialism, the statement concluded.
