CUBA STANDARD — Cuba’s point man for key economic relations traveled to Paris in early June, apparently to seek a solution for a debt agreement the country defaulted on last year.
Official media mentioned only bilateral talks with the French government, but news agency Reuters — based on anonymous diplomatic sources — reported that Vice Premier Ricardo Cabrisas was in Paris for a “critical meeting” with Paris Club lenders.
