HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 7 (ACN) The General Customs of the Republic of Cuba announced that the exemption in the payment of taxes for food, toiletries and medicines is maintained in the country.
On its website, the institution reiterated that, in accordance with the measure in force since July 19, there are no quantity limits for the importation of these products.
It also explains that these articles must come separately from the rest of the miscellaneous items that each person brings, and from personal belongings, in order to facilitate and expedite the corresponding dispatch.
The measure, set forth in Extraordinary Official Gazette 62, constitutes an exceptional authorization, in order to improve the deficit situation of the country.
At the time of its approval, a deadline of December 31, 2021 was established.
