HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 16 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 15,237 samples for surveillance during the day, resulting in 243 positive results. The country accumulates 10, 831,678 samples taken and 959,307 positive.
At the end of November 15, 6,196 patients were admitted, 4,327 suspected, 243 under surveillance and 1,626 confirmed active.
Of the total number of cases, 241 were contacts of confirmed cases; there were no cases with a source of infection abroad and 2 with no source of infection specified. There were 371 discharges, accumulating 949,340 patients recovered (98.96%) and one person died. Fifty-two confirmed patients are being treated in ICUs, including 21 in critical and 31 in severe condition.
Of the 243 positive cases, 8.6% (21) were asymptomatic, totaling 132,117, representing 13.8% of those confirmed to date. The diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (46), 20 to 39 (61), 40 to 59 (75) and over 60 (61).
