Havana, July 30 (ACN) The first of three ships from the Mexican Navy loaded with humanitarian aid for Cuba docked at Havana’s harbor Friday afternoon.
The ship was welcomed here by Cuban Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca, said ACN reporter Danilella Perez on her Twitter account.
The cargo includes food, medicines and oxygen; a supportive gesture by the Mexican people with Cuba at times when the Caribbean island nation is facing a strong COVID-19 flare-up and the impact of the strengthened US economic siege.
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel thanked the Mexican government for the donation.
