HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 5 (ACN) Nautical companies from Cuba and Canada will promote scuba diving in Cuba, daily Juventud Rebelde (JR) reported.
The Canadian company AquaSub Scuba Diving Center and Cuba’s Empresas Marinas y Náutica Marlin S.A. recently signed the first bilateral contract of its kind to be established by a Cuban tourism company.
The agreement was signed underwater by representatives of both entities, at the zero elevation of the Faro Luna International Diving Center in the south-central province of Cienfuegos.
Norbert Pietkiewicz, AquaSub’s representative, assured that there is confidence in the success of the operations and ratified that they will sell all the options of this underwater sport under the Scubacuba.ca brand.
JR points out that AquaSub Scuba Diving Center, based in Ontario, will be in charge of promoting in that market the benefits of Cuba as an excellent diving destination, beyond the traditional sun and beach offers.
The Canadian company now has the support of Marlin S.A., a Cuban company that manages more than 20 international diving centers throughout the island.
